Photography taken WHILE away

These are some of the photos I’ve taken during holidays, trips, and visits to various places. I enjoy bringing my camera everywhere, so I’ve collected a large variety of images from each place I’ve explored. Most are landscape but a few are buildings or things I find interesting.

This photo was taken in Santorini, Greece. I enjoyed the colours, and I thought that this would be a good and strong image on its own. I focused on the centre clock and the finer details.

Around Fira in Greece i kept seeing these small figures called the Observer, and was intrigued by them. This was my favourite one because it really contrasts with the bright white and purple flowers.

When I went on holiday to Grenada, we took a short trail to the three waterfalls. We only travelled to the first one, but I wanted to take a photo of not only the water but also the landscape around it.

We visited several beaches, but this one stood out because of the trees surrounding the area. The leaves added a mixture of colours to the scenery, making it more vibrant than just the typical blues and greens of the ocean.

On a tour in Grenada, we stopped at one of the many lookout areas and I shot this quick image. I like it because you’re able to see the sea behind as well as the grass coming just in front. I wanted to display how the Caribbean has both ocean and rainforest aspects.

I liked this image because it was different to my other photos, it focused more on the building and the cross, rather than nature, and it feels more architectural.

Something that I wanted to photograph was the iconic bougainvillaea, which can be seen all throughout Santorini. It adds to the already breathtaking scenery and contrasts well with the white-washed buildings and blue doors.

I took this photo facing forward, I liked how you could see it from the curved archway. A huge part of Greece is how it can take ugly things, such as buildings and pathways into beautiful items to look at, which is why I like the cables running through. The colours worked well together, blue, yellow and white were the primary colours in Fira, and a lot of Greek Orthodox buildings.
